Greetings everyone, (Hello), First of all, I wish you a nice day. I've recently sold my Mercedes-Benz E350 and I'm looking for a car suited to the new conditions in Turkey. Two cars caught my eye: only the Megane 4 (post-2015) 1.5 dCi and the Ford Mondeo (post-2011) 2.0 TDCi. Both cars are excellent, and because I have little knowledge I'm having trouble choosing between them and wanted to consult. If there are owners of the cars I mentioned, I'd ask them to share their experiences with me. I'd be very happy if you help me decide. My budget is currently between 750k and 1.2M. Thanks in advance to everyone who joins in and supports the exchange of information :)

19 repliesMr. Adil, hello first of all. I'll keep my answer short. Just yesterday I bought a Megane 1.3 TCe automatic. In the past, people used to give up on model year to drive "nice cars." The market has evolved into, so to speak, "let's not go to the garage/service, let's just ride a donkey." If all that matters is getting from one place to another, then I'd rather ride the Megane; but if I'm actually going to drive a car, I'd choose the Mondeo. Best regards.
Translated from TurkishThank you very much for the comment, we really think alike. Because the cars I used to drive were actual cars, and now, since I don't want to ride a donkey, I'm still on the same decision, but I need a more convincing answer. Like, what would you say are the pros and cons?
Translated from TurkishThe Mondeo is much better, but of course its resale market is slower compared to the Megane. It'll be easier to get rid of the Megane. If you don't have a concern like a quick sale and you're only stuck between these two cars, may the Mondeo bring you good fortune
Translated from TurkishMr. Onur, Thank you so much for the information. Yes, since I don't have any concerns about reselling it, my choice will most likely be the Mondeo.

Translated from TurkishThe Mondeo is way ahead of the Megane in terms of insulation, road holding, sound insulation, power, and feel - just take really good care of its transmission.
Translated from TurkishAs the owner of a 2.0 TDCi 2008 Mondeo, I guarantee you won't regret it. Hope it works out well, God willing.
Translated from TurkishI really like the Mondeo too, but I haven't experienced it myself. I drove the Megane 4 for about 30,000 km. Its driving dynamics satisfied me, the automatic gear changes were very good, it had a DSG-like feel to it. The trim pieces and touchpoints are, yes, cheap-feeling. But damn, when you floored it, it went, and it never drank much fuel. To me it's a workhorse car, and one that does that job perfectly. And it's always easy to resell. The Mondeo, under Turkish conditions, is more of a pleasure car. Finding parts and mechanics for it is harder than for the Megane.
Translated from TurkishIf this were my last shot, I'd definitely pick the Megane 4 — that's a one-sided matchup.
