Friends, I'm looking at a Polo, diesel (1.4 TDI) manual Comfortline 2015-2017; what kind of car do you think it is? I'd be glad if owners commented: handling, braking performance, fuel consumption, sound insulation, sound system performance, chronic faults (if any), maintenance and parts costs, and finally what are the advantages and disadvantages of it being 3-cylinder

3 repliesAs an ex-BMW guy, I've had a 6C Polo for 1 year. I wouldn't recommend any engine other than the 1.6 TDI and 1.2 TSI, both in terms of running costs and commercially. I use the 1.2 TSI - running costs are very low, very comfortable, driving dynamics aren't great, of course you don't get much road feel, but it's number one in price/performance - just not a driving machine, so if driving is your priority, stay away.

Translated from TurkishI drove the 1.2 TDI for a long time - it suits you whether you're into keeping it original or into modifying, whatever you put on it looks good. It's in my garage among my old cars, you can check it out. Being 3-cylinder is a bit of a disadvantage, but if you put on a Stage 1 tune, things change a bit
