It's almost impossible to find a place that trains you to master the trade

For about 6 months now, regardless of the conditions or circumstances, I've been looking for a job, no matter what it is. I graduated from the Automotive Technologies department at university; my theoretical knowledge and practical skills are very high. Since I don't feel ready, I still prefer to be seen as a position like a “trainee” or “apprentice”. Despite this, none of the masters/mechanics who go around saying “this trade isn't valued anymore, we can't find apprentices to train” are actually hiring anyone to train. Does anyone know a reliable repair shop or authorized service center on the European side of Istanbul that does its work properly? My main goal is for the work done at the place I join to be done properly — because in some shops in the industrial district, even a spark plug can get tightened with an impact gun.

I'm going through the same situation. I'm studying mechanical engineering, and thanks to a few connections I was able to get into two places; before that I couldn't get in anywhere on my own effort. I want to focus on engines and mechanics, but these are just tough situations.

I really experienced what you're saying in the best way, right down to the marrow of my bones. During my internship period I went around to tons of places; none of them took me. I could only get into one place through a connection, and once I graduated, that place didn't take me on either. I hope I never again see a mechanic saying here and there "this profession isn't liked, kids/young people aren't drawn to it." There's nothing left I haven't done, no one I haven't messaged, just to find a job, to get in somewhere; it's still the same, still the same. I guess I won't be able to do this profession. I don't have any hope left anymore...
