Hello everyone, friends. What do you think should be looked out for in diesel cars over 200,000 km? If we have friends experienced in this, could they inform us here?

Personally, if the car has a turbo, I'm in favor of paying close attention to the health of the turbo, the injectors, and the diesel pump. Of course other things need attention too, but these are the important parts (in terms of service costs and engine health)

Bro, check if the turbo is healthy, whether it's leaking oil from the O-rings - most importantly, when you give it gas, check if there's blowing out of the oil cap, or if it's pulling vacuum. Also, if it's a dCi-type engine, things like injector leaking matter - check if the idle is good, that'll give you a rough idea. If you check the pull too, whatever's left can be sorted out, like the DPF.

If it's for your own car, I'd recommend paying attention to the DSG clutch and flywheel condition, injectors, turbo health, and critical points on the transmission and engine where oil leaks could occur. It used to be that you could see the authorized service maintenance history through the app - it would be useful to check whether that's still the case.

The engine's timing chain should definitely be checked; a 2.0 TDI common rail can be bought with eyes closed if it passes the general checks, but with engines like the 1.4 TDCi and similar, it becomes a bit of a gamble..
