Bugatti Tourbillon: An Analog Letter Written to the Future

Bugatti Tourbillon: An Analog Letter Written to the Future

The Bugatti Tourbillon is Bugatti's door opening into the new era after the Chiron. But this door doesn't open into a digital world; it opens into timelessness. With the Tourbillon, the brand aims to create a hypercar that will “still be valuable even 100 years from now.”

Under the hood is an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine. Supported by three electric motors, this hybrid setup produces around 1,800 horsepower in total. The most striking detail is that Bugatti has abandoned its legendary W16 turbo engine in favor of a purer, more linear driving character.

There's no screen inside the cabin. Instead, there are mechanical analog gauges inspired by the world of watchmaking. Crafted with sapphire glass, titanium and handcraftsmanship, this cockpit is a conscious answer to the digital age's problem of aging.

Around 250 units of the Tourbillon will be produced, priced at about 3.8 million euros, and most were already sold during the launch stage. The Tourbillon isn't just a fast car; it's Bugatti's manifesto for “the last great analog hypercar.”

In short, the Tourbillon is a collectible piece of engineering that speaks more through feelings than numbers.
