MYGARAGE ROUTESaturday night Caddebostan tour
MYGARAGE ROUTEDefinitely preferred for pleasure rather than pushing limits; after passing Gülbahçe, don't forget to stop at Tepekahve Çetin's place :)
MYGARAGE ROUTEYou had breakfast and left the house. Those coming from the European side got off the KMO, those from the Anatolian side got off the Şile highway. You had a coffee at Nefes Orman. Then on the road I pinned, among the trees, you did your pleasure drive on a route where corners and straights combine. At the points you reach at the end of the drive there are cook-it-yourself places (I mostly prefer Cumhuriyet Park; they bring the embers, service etc. themselves :)). You devoured the chicken, meatballs and sucuk you bought from your own butcher. And ordered a samovar of tea. Lovely. From the return point you can go back on the same winding roads. The KMO connection is also very close, you can choose that too.
MYGARAGE ROUTEA route in Eskişehir where hot-blooded youngsters cruise and chat.
MYGARAGE ROUTEA winding, misty, calm journey for the mind; inside Istanbul yet a beautiful place that feels like you've left the city
MYGARAGE ROUTESince it's a weekend picnic spot, this route with plenty of corners becomes emptier and more enjoyable especially on weekday nights. As we pass through Belgrad Forest, animals such as wild boar and jackals may come onto the road at night. Both directions are enjoyable in their own way.
MYGARAGE ROUTEA road that's completely empty after 3 am; the asphalt is quite good, perfect for night runs, sweet corners
MYGARAGE ROUTEBetween Istanbul and Çanakkale
MYGARAGE ROUTEAnyone who wants to join is welcome
MYGARAGE ROUTEA route with wonderful views, rocks on one side and the blue of the sea on the other; since the corners are generally taken slowly they can get slippery, so while enjoying the view you need to be extra careful
MYGARAGE ROUTEA rolling route; you can try it twice, out and back
MYGARAGE ROUTEOn the weekend, without getting stuck in Istanbul traffic, through meadows and greenery, watching out for the 2 cameras I remember (I believe they don't work), no traffic, a pleasant distance, you can enjoy Çorlu or Tekirdağ.
MYGARAGE ROUTEThe road is a bit damaged because of the flood, but a route suitable for an easy-paced drive in the nature of the Black Sea
MYGARAGE ROUTEA location where you'll see your own and your car's limits; also suitable for off-road. Don't forget to bring a camping chair; at the end you can drink your coffee with a lake view, if it hasn't spilled yet
MYGARAGE ROUTEA road full of stones, rocks, potholes and bumps :)
MYGARAGE ROUTEA RIDE AMONG VILLAGE ROADS
MYGARAGE ROUTEPendik
MYGARAGE ROUTEGlide along gently early in the morning when no one's around and enjoy the sea at the end of the route.
MYGARAGE ROUTEYou can reach the airport from the main road too, but this route passes through the mountains and has plenty of corners and a slightly rough surface; not many cars pass, but since it's a single-lane two-way road you still need to be careful. I recommend going during the day; at night it's a bit scary
MYGARAGE ROUTEI recommend it to everyone
MYGARAGE ROUTEA mountain road that's two lanes but feels like one, with corners and cliffs; a perfect thrill. I go to the village every year and stop by there
MYGARAGE ROUTEA winding seaside road from Gülbahçe toward Balıklıova. Road quality is low but it's enjoyable.
MYGARAGE ROUTENo radar, just one tunnel
MYGARAGE ROUTEFriends, this isn't exactly a route, but I'd call it an incredible holiday suggestion for petrolheads. It's the very place where Sinan's Golf R video, sliding on an ice track in Sweden, was shot. The area is known as Sorsele, Lapland, Sweden; dozens of companies sell 3-5 day car-thrashing holiday tours here with incredible cars for tourists. I can't say it's cheap in general, but for the price of a one-week Bodrum holiday in Turkey, you can enjoy 3-5 days in dream cars under the northern lights.
MYGARAGE ROUTELanes flowing by with music, long thoughts, drifting off, my head-clearing route that starts fast and ends calm
MYGARAGE ROUTEUndulating village roads from Altınova to İznik with occasionally blind and sharp corners
MYGARAGE ROUTEThat famous road connecting Samsun to Sinop. One of the best routes to clear your head
MYGARAGE ROUTEAfter Mengen, toward Kastamonu, Karabük and Zonguldak, a route immersed in nature with plenty of corners and usually no traffic. After the Dorukhan pass, a pleasure road all the way to Başlarkadı. You can drink mountain spring water by the roadside and take a small coffee break by pulling into safe lay-bys :)
MYGARAGE ROUTEMost people probably know the Çubuk Karagöl route, but continuing on this road there's a very nice road to Kızılcahamam with climbs, descents, plenty of corners and quality asphalt. About 30 km on average; at the start the road is a bit narrow so you need to go slowly, then the road widens and the fun begins. I especially recommend going on a weekday; the chance of meeting others on the road is quite low. As someone who's also driven hard on the Şile Darlık roads, I can say it's more fun than there. The nature's color changes by season and the views in some sections are delightful. Have a good drive.
