Hey guys, while the neighbor was painting his ironwork, it splattered onto the car in little bumps, when I checked today the paint was still a bit sticky, I tried wiping it but saw it was spreading more so I left it alone — would isopropyl alcohol harm the hood, or what can I use

IPA only damages it if there's wax or ceramic coating on it. I use it for resin stains and such. It can be good for the paint. You can test it on a small spot.

Sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to me with my previous car. If it's spread out in dot form, let it dry. With the blue clay bar, spray diluted Camsil (i.e. watered-down Camsil) and you can remove it with the clay. If it covers too much surface, it can wear you out.

I don't think you should try alcohol, if the paint hasn't fully cured it could spread it around or damage the clear coat. By the way, if you haven't already, if you post this question in the app's forum section more people can see it. Get well soon, there are clay bars, detailers can help too.
