Getting fined for using a square front plate on a MiTo

Original Poster

Today at a checkpoint I went through in Ankara, the traffic officer said the front plate in the pictures I've attached was non-standard, and told me he would issue a 4,779 TL fine for it and that I needed to replace it with a long plate within 1 week. (23/3-a-1) The plate had been printed at the Chamber of Drivers; square in front, long in the back. Has anyone managed to get this fine canceled before? If so, what steps did you follow, I'd appreciate it if you could help.
