About undiscovered cars

I want to start with my car, the Citroen C4 VTS. On the eve of buying it, everyone around me said "whatever you do, don't buy it," but I stubbornly bought it anyway, and I've been using and loving this 2006 model for 4 years. It was on sale in Turkey between 2005-2008 and barely sold at all.. It shares the same engine as the 206 RC - 2.0 naturally aspirated, 180 hp, with 202 Nm of torque It's a C-segment coupe, and inside it's roomier than many C-segment cars on average It has a 0-100 time of 8.3 seconds, and at 1337 kg this car accelerates about 1 second slower than its sibling, the 206 RC Since it's a rare and little-known car, it draws quite a lot of attention If I need to mention its main features -The adaptive xenon headlights are gorgeous enough to fall in love with, the lenses swivel aggressively left and right, and with a powerful D1S bulb it's extremely enjoyable when giving it gas on mountain roads -Even though it's front-wheel drive, the front end is quite composed while the rear is more inclined to let go -The factory rear spoiler creates downforce at high speeds, offering a much more stable driving experience -The engine revs freely and loves to spin, with a rev limiter in the 7,300-7,400 rpm band - the rev display turning red when it hits the limiter gives you a huge amount of enjoyment -Features like cruise control, speed limiter, and auto-dimming mirrors aren't forgotten either -Features like automatic climate control, headlight and rain sensors, and folding mirrors can feel spoiling for a 2006 car So what are the chronic issues? -BSM/BSI fuse box failures -Throttle body failure -Overall the electrical system is fragile, it's important to find a car that hasn't been tampered with General problems start from here Things I don't like The transmission is 5-speed and geared extremely short At 100 km/h it sits at around 3,200 rpm. It's almost impossible to drive calmly on long trips, it's very loud even at the legal speed limits, it definitely should have had 6 gears. The insulation might be decent for its age and year, but it can fall short by today's standards On consumption Normal use in Istanbul city traffic 10-11.5 If you get a bit carried away, 14L isn't far off On the highway at the legal limit, around 9L
