Has anyone found a solution to the AdBlue fault and the resulting 'the vehicle will stop working after XXX km' issue? The only solution I could find was getting it disabled.

You did the sensible thing too. Every brand has AdBlue issues, but it seems like the Peugeot group has a bit more of them :)
Translated from TurkishWe had a 2018 Citroën Jumpy, it was brand new, we'd extended the car's warranty, good thing we did, it developed an AdBlue fault and they replaced it under warranty. Later we found out that the sensors in these cars' AdBlue tanks can chronically oxidize, that's what the mechanic said. It's a big headache; instead of worrying about when it'll break down, disabling it outright is the most sensible option.
