Qashqai or Skoda SUVs?

Original Poster

Hello friends, I'm looking at cars around 2M. There are way too many options and I have about 2 months, so I'm in the research phase. My list changes every day, I wanted to get your opinions on the latest version. 1) Nissan Qashqai: It'll probably be the Design Pack, because the higher packages go over budget, on the old body you could get the Sky Pack etc., but design-wise I like the new body, I could even say that's my main reason for putting it in first place, so it'll be the base package Qashqai, or if I come across one, I'll try to find a Sky Pack. Maybe I can stretch the budget a little. 2) Kodiaq, Karoq, Kamiq: Now you'll say what kind of list is this, yes, they're very different segment cars, but as a single 30-year-old, I'm equally drawn to a coupe and a 7-seat SUV. Practicality doesn't matter to me, only that I feel good inside it matters. I don't care about fuel etc. So why is there a lower segment when there's a higher one available, because while you can get an older Kodiaq, you can get a brand-new Kamiq for the same money, and also, the more I look into this Skoda, I suddenly moved it right to the top of the list, I'd recommend it to you too, to those who say "it's caught up to VW," I say it's already passed it, over time everyone will say this, you understand once you see the gap Tiguan leaves. 3) Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max - 8 Pro Max: Because of people saying "would you really pay 2M for a Chinese car" etc., I pulled it down from first place to third, I don't plan on pulling it down further. In this fleeting world, look at a car as a joy, not an investment. Also, I think these cars should be worth at least 3.5M. On my list, these are by far the most luxurious-looking cars with the most equipment. I'm certain I would definitely pay this money for these cars. They look very dignified, and it's not just about looks, the car more than lives up to that dignity in the driving experience too. For now let's keep the topic to just this part of the list, over time I'll open forums for the lower-ranked ones too to get opinions. Let me share the list for those curious: SUV: Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Kodiaq, Karoq, Kamiq, Chery T7 Pro Max, T8 Pro Max, Volkswagen T-Roc, Tiguan (2020), Volvo XC40, Honda HR-V, Ford Kuga, Peugeot 3008, Tucson, Sportage, 408, Omoda 5 Pro, Corolla Cross, GLA, Q2, X1-X2

I don't know anything about other SUVs, I'll just talk about the Qashqai. We currently have a 2024 model, latest-gen 1.3 Skypack. We bought it in August 2023. We haven't had a single problem so far - a car that earns every penny you paid for it. Before this we'd also had two more Qashqais, 2014-generation ones. Nissan is a genuinely high-quality, trouble-free brand. I'd recommend the Qashqai with my eyes closed.
