MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Luxury 2023

I went to the dealer to buy a 2023 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Luxury, but I got undecided because of resale difficulties in the secondhand market and parts/service issues. At the same dealer I came across a Honda Civic 1.6 LPG Excellent trim. I know one is a sedan and one is an SUV, but the Civic felt sportier to me. The fact that it's proven itself is also an advantage. Both are the same price, in your opinion should I go for a new, modern, well-equipped car, or an economical, hassle-free car?
