I currently own a 2013 Golf. As my next car I'm thinking of a 2018-20 hatchback Civic Sport Plus or a W204 2012 C180. Unrelated cars, but the W204 is my dream while the Civic is the sensible one. For either I'll be spending my last money, so costs arising later could be very hard. Should I listen to reason and buy the Civic, or listen to my heart and buy the W204 C180 AMG? :)

4 repliesI had a 2013 W204 coupe. It's one of the most enjoyable cars I've driven. If you find a clean one, don't think twice.
Translated from TurkishIf you're still young, go get yourself a Mercedes. If you're older, I'd still say get a Mercedes :) There are plenty of Mercedes W204 owners doing hundreds of thousands of km with a well-maintained C180. I've read a lot of forums, the engine is seriously solid. I'd say get a Mercedes :)
Translated from TurkishI'm 33, it was always my dream car, but if I buy it there won't be any money left over, and that makes me wonder if I could keep up with it. As far as I've researched, its biggest problem is the timing chain issue.
Translated from TurkishMy dad bought a C180 AMG Package at 100k km, checked by Bravo — the maintenance is genuinely pricey, he replaced the tie-rod end twice because of the roads to Bandırma.
