B-segment hatchback/SUV recommendation (brand new)

Original Poster

We're looking for a B-segment hatchback/SUV for my brother to use mostly in the city. We're trying to look at cars that are as well-equipped as possible. We're NOT looking at the Stellantis group (because of the 1.2 PureTech) or Chinese-origin cars. Do you have a suggestion? Among those we looked at recently, the facelifted Ford Puma caught our interest.

I got a T-Roc 1.5 TSI for both highway and city driving, and I'm very happy with it. I got the base Life trim, and even so it's quite well-equipped — not as overloaded with gadgets as the Chinese cars, but wow, every feature is one you actually need, no useless equipment, and they haven't overpriced it either. I fitted LPG and I'm very happy with that too — it's great on fuel as well.

As a Bosch Car Service owner, I can tell you this: we occasionally run into PROBLEMS with the Puma 1.0 EcoBoost — especially around 50,000-60,000 km, we unfortunately see injector issues.

Since the T-Rocs aren't the 1.5 TSI, there's no alternator problem either — it's a really solid, trouble-free engine, I'd recommend it.

@mehmetcanatac: mate, how did you get LPG installed on a 1.5 TSI engine? TSIs already use so little fuel, isn't it a shame for the engine?

Hey mate, if you're considering electric, I can recommend the Puma gen e. I just bought one myself, waiting for delivery.
