Does switching from a 1.2 TSI manual Jetta to a 308 1.6 BlueHDi EAT6 make sense?

I researched the 308 1.6 HDi extensively and got the chance to test it. It's better equipped than the Jetta trim-wise. The diesel engine has AdBlue faults — as you go through listings you'll see most 308 diesels have had the AdBlue deleted. But the engine and gearbox are largely trouble-free. Its suspension is stiffer than the Jetta's. Rear legroom is tight, and the boot is adequate for a hatchback. But I think going from a Jetta to a 308 could disappoint you — I'm a Jetta owner myself.
