C-Elysée 2017 coilovers

The car belongs to a friend of mine, he had coilovers fitted today, they told him the driveshaft could come out of its seat because it's now too short, and that he should have spacers fitted. Is this actually a real issue, has anyone experienced this before, or is it just a rumor
